BERGEN COUNTY
Visage Hair Salon and Spa, located in Oradell, features color by Yoor Image is Art, that's ammonia and ppd free, vegan and plant based. Hair products under this label include ingredients like rice protein, ginkgo biloba, quinoa, lavender, beeswax, green tea and sea salt.
K'Bello Organic Chair. Midland Park, carries the Oway color line which is ammonia free and based on bio-dynamic extracts, micronized plants, hydrolats essential oils and is fair trade. Their hair products also by Oway include ingredients without parabens, petroleum, PEG-PPG, mineral oils, fragrance allergens, or artificial colorants.
The Light Room Salon Studio, Paramus specializes in safe color, balayage, hair painting, and great cuts. Featured brand include KEVIN.MURPHY, whose color products are PPD free, ammonia free, and include naturally derived products like aloe vera, honey, shea butter to restore, repair and strengthen hair. LaKoet Salon in Jersey City recently started carrying the Aveda line, which is up to 99% naturally-derived, meaning they aren't filled with synthetic materials. Aveda colors contain nourishing plant-based ingredients and is recommend to their clients as a better alternative to traditional color choices.
The Salon at Hoboken, carries Biolage plant based color to tone, gloss or blend grays - mixed with water and uses no chemicals. They also offer the Redken Shades eq gloss which is ammonia free and Redken Chromatics ammonia free oil based color.
Lorraine's House of Styles, in Hoboken, specializes insafer options with color lines hailing from Parma, Italy. HUNTERDON COUNTY

MONMOUTH COUNTY
Organic Hair Experts, Manasquan, features color by Natique that's ammonia free, and less toxic than traditional color. They also offer the Oway color line and products which are ammonia free with ingredients that protect your hair and scalp.
Grow Organic Hair Salon, Spring Lake, carries the Oway line of color which again offers a better, cleaner option for your hair color needs.
